Twice in two years, the U.S. Supreme Court has struck down handgun bans in major American cities... Most recently a handgun ban in Chicago, which quickly changed its law to comply. Debate continues on whether the Windy City will be safer or more at risk.
The first ruling, two years ago, overturned a hand gun ban in Washington, D.C., where some residents complain it's still too difficult to get handguns intended for self-defense despite changed regulations.
