Despite an enthusiasm gap between Democrats & Republicans, the good news for the D-team is that Tea Party influenced R-primaries keep producing the kind of candidates that make them salivate... Ones easily portrayed in TV ads as whack-job wing-nut extremists.
General elections are about who can take the middle, not a TEA Party.
