A Defensive Struggle... No Really!
Both teams' defenses struggled to keep their foes from scoring.
The defending Super Bowl Saints against a team with a losing record defending their right to be in it at all, let alone host the game in the NFL's loudest outdoor venue in front of 67,000 fans playing 12th man.
Coach Rex Ryan managed to find success by keeping the ball away from Colts QB Peyton Manning... He can't score sitting on the bench.
Ryan's game plan was to deny 3rd & short, then eat up the clock by running the football and that's exactly what he did in the second half.
