Thursday was a day of misdirection and continued stalemate. Multiple sources were fooled, including CIA director Leon Panetta (who told Congress). Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak did not step down and may have just repeated old news about transfer of power to his VP.
It sets the stage for the most eventful Friday protests yet.
