Daniel Schorr 1916-2010

NPR Senior News Analyst Daniel Schorr died Friday morning at a hospital in Washington, D.C. He was 93.

Schorr was the last surviving member of the crew known as (Edward R.) "Murrow's Boys" who became the backbone of CBS News.

Schorr broke major stories at home and abroad during the Cold War and Watergate as a member of President Nixon's enemies list. Robert Siegel recounts the long life of NPR's "walking history book."

There will be remembrances amidst the void on today's Weekend Edition Saturday, where we had heard the voice of Dan Schorr's reflections on the week's news... Concise and cogent to the end.
