Germany finished third by defeating Uruguay 3-2... Paul's final call:

¡España, campeones del mundo!

Spain had taken a string of 1-nil wins into the final... Games which had remained scoreless for at least the first hour of play. This match wasn't the best example of the beautiful game. Overly aggressive physical play resulted in a rash of yellow cards amidst the black & blue until in the 116th minute a brilliant crossing shot from Andres Iniesta lifted Spain to a 1-0 victory over the Netherlands, as La Furia Roja, already European champions, claimed a first World Cup title.

And the octopus was right once again!

Paul would have a tougher time untangling this crime...
