Most Las Vegas visitors have no idea the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) exists, let alone that it has robot security patrols in remote portions of the facility which was the site of Cold War atomic weapons testing and currently stores "tens of millions of cubic feet of radioactive waste."
The robot is designed to perform random patrols autonomously until onboard sensors detect intruders or suspicious activity. An operator can then assess situations with real-time video.
