Game Theory

Multiplayer online games store reams of data about avatars’ every transaction, and it turns out this kind of information can serve as a model for real-world concepts, such as economics and epidemiology.

Researcher Dmitri Williams has been studying EverQuest II and says the information he gets from that game is better than any data he could expect from a traditional survey.
